Depression can happen to anyone at any stage. There is no age limit to it. Hence everyone should always help the ones who are depressed of their lives.
You might have heard about the teen depression. People who are in their teens are also not safe. Even they can fall prey to depression anytime if the circumstances are like that.
Mostly the childhood depression is because of their studies burden which finally leads them to commit suicide like things.
The other reason which leads to depression is when the child stays away from parents. Their loneliness feeling turns out to be in depression. Stress is the main cause of being depressed.
Then last but not the least is some tragedy which has happened in presence of that child and he has not the guts to bear that loss.

I can relate to this one. My brother was diagnosed with depression last year. He wasn't a bad kid though, he was good at sports and his studies were all top notch. He told me, before he went to see a therapist, that he think everyone at school is expecting too much of him and that whatever he do isn't good enough.
ReplyDeleteHis therapist told our parents to let try a wilderness program. It sure worked out well!
He's having fun now with everything he's doing. I'm really thankful for all the people that supported him during those rough times.
