Depression, a mental illness which affects a person both mentally and physically. Depression can happen to any age group whether it is childhood, teens or adolescents. Mostly it is seen in the older people. It affects men and women equally.

Mostly it is seen in women who are in their menopause period. Mostly in that age, they are undergoing many hormonal changes which results in their mood swings and lots of frustration. Finally that stage leads to depression. So this depression remains for a specific amount of time.

Even the stage before the menopause, that is perimenopause is also the beginning of that stage. There only a woman comes to know that the menopause stage is gonna come soon. There is very much fluctuating in the level of hormones in women.

The symptoms of depression are very easy to read from the behavior of women. They start feeling guilty without any reason, they face insomnia also. Mostly they also feel low of energy most of the times. So there is a great relation of menopause and depression.
